Theres no comparison to other "U-shaped" or horseshoe magnets. I have 2 of the regular size velveteen magnets and they are my favorite tool! They're super convenient, easy to use, compact yet roomy enough for fingers, lightweight and fantastic quality. They create the most incredible velvet effect possible. These are a must have!

If you have magnetic polishes, this is a must buy! I’m new to using magnetic polishes but this magnetic makes it so easy to get a beautiful velvet mani.

The magnet pulled the polish perfectly into a velvet effect. My fingers fit fine and I don’t have narrow fingers, but apparently not wide either. I waited longer than instructed, because I didn’t want to lose the effect by not letting the polish dry that way, and it worked perfectly. I did 2 fingers at a time using this and a traditional 22 lb pull horseshoe magnet and they both did the exact same thing! This one is just MUCH lighter in weight.

Overall I highly recommend. I would also suggest getting 2 so you can do 2 fingers at a time with one in between so the magnets don’t smash together. I completely did both nails, including final dry drops, before moving on to another 2 nails. The final velvet look strength will depend on how long you leave your nails in the magnet and how fast the polishes dry.
