We measure the magnetic field (in millitesla or mT) within the horseshoe magnet's U-shaped interior, which is responsible for the velvet nail effect. Unlike pull force (the force required to separate the magnet from metal, measured at the magnet's ends), our measurements focus on the relevant magnetic field strength for creating this effect. XL: 60 mT - Size: 1.1 inch opening where your finger rests.
Although the XL features significantly stronger magnets, the resulting magnetic effect is similar due to the wider field it covers.

Steps with Magnetic Polish:
1) Apply 1-2 layers of magnetic polish to get full opacity on all 10 nails.
2) Apply the last layer of polish to one nail and immediately place finger in The Velveteen Magnet. Leave in magnet for 30-60 seconds. Continue for each nail.
3) Apply topcoat and place your finger in The Velveteen Magnet for 30-60 seconds.
4) Enjoy beautiful velvet mani!!!!
Steps with Crystal Cat Eye Gel:
1) Place The Velveteen Magnet in your lamp
2) Apply gel, place finger in The Velveteen Magnet and cure.
3) Topcoat as normal and enjoy!
